Riccardo Iacona

Riccardo Iacona borns in Rome in 1957. He graduated in performing arts at the University of Bologna and then, from 1980 until 1987, he worked as assistant director for film and television. He worked in programs such as "Scenario" by Andrea Barbato and "Duello" by Nino Crescenti. From 2004 he is author and director of important reportages transmitted in prime time ("W gli Sposi", "W il Mercato", and "W la Ricerca"). With his job of journalist he won a lot of awards (Ilaria Alpi, Città di S. Marinella, Flaiano awards). From 2005 Iacona realizes "W l'Italia" "Case!", "Ospedali!" and "Tribunali!" and the second series in 2007 entitled "Pane e Politica". In 2007 Riccardo Iacona is busy in eleven episods of "W L'Italia diretta", the first program about journalism trasmitted during summer, a real trip through Italy every week live from different places. In 2008 are broadcast in prime time two important and international reportages entitled "La Guerra Infinita" about Kosovo and Afghanistan.

His latest program is called "Presadiretta" and for september 9, 2010 is scheduled the release of his latest book "L'Italia in presa diretta" (Chiarelettere Editore, 2010).
