Description: Looking at the current wave of global natural disasters, BAP NGO knows that there is an urgent need for more informal training among the young people. The lack of information and training how to react in a disastrous situation are becoming a widespread problem on an international scale. The Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters has estimated an annual average of 392 nat- ural disaster between 2000 and 2008 .Only for 2009 the Centre has registered 245 natural disasters, 8919 deaths, 58 million affected and an estimated economic damage amounting to19 billion US$. We are more than convinced that when the people are more informed and prepared how to react in these kind of emergency situations or the so-called ‘acts of God’ the above sited figures can be changed significantly.
